1. remove the filter from the basket;
2. fill the reservoir with a water& vinegar solution (some say two tablespoons are enough, others advice a 1/1 ratio);

4. let it rest for 10-15 minutes;
5. run the coffee maker again until all the water is passed through;
6. run the coffee maker with plain water, for rinsing;
7. repeat the rinsing process after 10 minutes.

For a thorough cleaning of the plastic components, some housekeeping experts recommend using baking soda (4 tablespoons per water pot). In order to remove them you can use decalcifying substances available on the market.
